About the Jewelry

All of the hand made flowers, whale tails and “clay” beads are individually crafted from Polymer Clay. The rare art of hand modeling this medium is one of Anna Hadley's unique talents.

The clay is cured in a regular home oven creating a piece, which is very durable, extremely lightweight, colorfast and even water washable.
Her eleven years experience with the clay shines through with superb workmanship.

Many of the pieces contain Hawaiian Island seeds and shells that Anna collects including:

Jobs Tears
Coix lacryma jobia dark to light gray seed from a reed which grows near the rivers and streams.

Red Sandalwood Seeds
Adenanthera pavonina L - bright red and shiny seed from a tree native of Ceylon also known as False Wili-Wili.

Canna Seeds
Canna xgeneralis - an ornamental plant with round black seeds native to tropical America

Elephant's Ear
Enterolobium cyclocarpum - the brown bullseye seed from a large tree of the Mimosa family

Wili-Wili Seeds
Erythrina indica - Red bean shaped seed, native of India and Asia.
